Visit the exhibition The exhibition Nomads of the Ocean comprises 22 photgraphic works of albatrosses and storm petrels of the southern hemisphere. No other birds on this planet are so well adapted to life at sea as the 22 species of albatross and the storm petrels, that number just over a hundred species. Various key moments in the lifes of these birds form the core of this exhibition. Visit this extraordinary exhibition! Take time to admire these birds and to learn about their special adapations. To find out where and when the exhibition can be visited, check out the agenda (in Dutch). The exhibition is organised by Vogelbescherming (Birdlife Netherlands) and LEXsample. Vogelbescherming (Birdlife Netherlands) sets out to protect wild birds and their habitats, in the Netherlands as well as worldwide. Vogelbescherming especially supports the Amsterdam Albatross. Photographs of this exhibition have been made by Lex van Groningen, who runs the LEXsample website. Since 2006 he has sailed to Antarctica and subantarctic islands as a nature guide. He wishes to use his photographs to introduce a broad audience to these magnificent seabirds, with the aim to get support for the conservation of these birds and their unique habitats.
