Save The Albatross :: donations
State of affairs
LEXsample supports Birdlife International's Save The Albatross campaign since 2007. The overview (table) of revenus generated for this important conservation effort
are listed on the dutch albatross donations page. For the sake of efficiency and accuracy, the table is no longer reproduced on this page anymore. Note that the date format is DD-MM-YYYY.
Can you help?
If you would like to make a contribution, you can get in touch with me using the feedback page, or by sending an email. I will provide you my account details. Your donation will be listed in the table (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).
Would you like to donate directly to BirdLife?
That's possible too, of course! Use this link to go directly to their donation page:

What are the donations used for?
A lot of good things can be done with little money. Money generated for the campaign is used for:
- the Albatross Task Forces, specialist observers who sail on board of the fishing boats to discuss the methods that can prevent accidental seabird bycatch;
- the production of 'tori lines', bird scaring lines that are both cheap and effective in scaring the birds away when the hooks are set from the stern of the ship;
- education
Stay informed
Go to www.savethealbatross.net where you can get (for free):
- a subscription to the (more or less) monthly email
- the flyer Sea Change in which observers and other albatross conservationists tell about the work that is being carried out.
Thanks!
Last but not least I wish to THANK EVERYBODY who made a donation, big or small, to help the albatrosses.
